A MASSIVE COMMUNITY EFFORT

The 2025 Karioitahi Beach Clean -powered by volunteers, local families, and the 4WD community.

On the day:

  • 70+ four-wheel drives worked along the coastline
  • 150+ volunteers including families and local supporters
  • Over 1.2 tonnes of rubbish removed
  • Funds raised for Surf Life Saving Karioitahi
  • A fully staffed hub with marquees, BBQ, music, and community engagement

This wasn’t just a clean-up - it was a shared effort to protect a coastline we love.

  • More than a beach clean

Dirty Diesel is about more than removing rubbish.

    It’s about:

    • Changing perceptions of the 4WD community.
    • Promoting responsible access and stewardship.
    • Creating safe, welcoming events for all ages.
    • Supporting local organisations doing vital work.

Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers, we raised funds for SLS and strengthened relationships between communities and 4wders.
  • Powered by our partners

The 2025 Dirty Diesel Initiative was made possible through the support of an incredible group of brands who backed the kaupapa behind the event.

    Sponsors contributed through:

    • On-site support and equipment.
    • Raffle and spot prizes.
    • Event infrastructure and logistics.
    • Financial support that helped make the event possible.

Their involvement helped lift the scale, professionalism, and reach of the event - while keeping it community-focused..
  • Thank you

To every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter - we thank you immensley.

Because of you, the Dirty Diesel Initiative 2025 became more than a
    clean-up.

It reminded us of what’s possible when people put community first.
