What It’s All About
View the HighlightsThe Dirty Diesel Initiative is our way of giving back - proving the 4WD community isn’t just dirty diesels. We care about the tracks we drive, the beaches we love, and the people who share them.
We bring together 4WDers, outdoor lovers, locals, and families to clean up our coastlines and make a positive impact.
Since kicking off, we’ve cleaned Muriwai and Karioitahi beaches - removing over 4 tonnes of rubbish and raising thousands for our local Surf Life Saving Clubs, the legends who keep our beaches safe all summer long. -
Why We Do It
Every summer, Kiwis flock to the beach to surf, fish, 4WD, and chase sunsets - but that fun can leave a mark. We’re here to change the perception of 4WDers, showing we’re the ones helping protect these places, not wreck them.
Each clean-up is about leaving it better than we found it - cleaner, safer, and ready for everyone to enjoy as summer kicks in.
Our Track Record
• 4+ tonnes of rubbish removed
• Hundreds of volunteers
• Raised thousands for local surf lifesaving clubs
• Stronger connections between 4WDers and their communities -
